Beamish Museum closed due to COVID-19 Tier 4 restrictions

UPDATE: Following the government announcement that the North East is in COVID-19 Tier 4 from 31st December 2020, the museum has once again had to close.

If you have booked to visit us, your visit will not be able to go ahead and you should have received an email with further information.

We’ll be keeping you updated on our social media and website as we continue to follow the government’s COVID-19 restrictions, for latest government advice visit https://www.gov.uk/guidance/local-restriction-tiers-what-you-need-to-know.

A huge, heartfelt thank you to everyone for your continuing support, it really does mean the world to us. Beamish is a charity and 95 per cent of our income is from our visitors, including ticket sales, retail and catering. Our closures due to the coronavirus pandemic continue to have a major impact on the museum – your purchases are supporting the museum and helping to secure our future, thank you!
