Ding ding! All aboard for a fantastic weekend celebrating public transport at the museum.
With our fantastic home fleet being joined by some impressive visiting transport, this special weekend is one you won’t want to miss!
When you jump aboard a bus or tram, ask the conductor for a clippy ticket and remember to get it punched by a member of the Transport Team as you travel around the museum.
See your favourite Beamish bus running alongside vehicles including a 1948 Albion Valiant and Darlington Corporation bus No. 7, the sister of the museum’s Darlington Corporation bus No. 4. You’ll be able to enjoy a ride on the buses that have a green sign in the window!
Head to the depot to see a static display of buses. While you’re there, pick a copy of the Fares Please! activity sheet to enjoy a bus-themed quiz.
See Lisbon tram No.730 on display in the tram shed. The tram moved to Beamish from its previous home at the Wirral Tramway earlier this year.
Don’t forget to collect a souvenir Fares Please! bus ticket from the Entrance, the perfect reminder of your day out to Beamish!
As with all daytime events, you can use your Unlimited Pass or Friends of Beamish membership to enjoy this special event.
