Beamish Museum is about to break ground on its exciting £17.8 million Remaking Beamish project. Supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund, the project will transform the award-winning open air museum, adding a 1950s Town, a Coaching Inn, and a number of 1820s buildings. We are currently expanding our in-house construction team to help us meet the challenge of undertaking the design and build elements of this project in-house. We want to appoint a Construction Planner with proven skills in developing and continually monitoring a comprehensive construction programme. Through extensive experience of working on large multi-site projects, they will develop the sequence of works at each phase to deliver cost-effective, safe and efficient deconstruction, construction and interior fit-out of both historic and modern structures.
As a proficient user of Primavera software you will plan multiple building projects concurrently, identifying and adapting to changes while closely monitoring construction phase progress, critical/near critical paths, highlight key milestones/flags and conduct feasibility studies.
Construction is expected to be completed by the end of 2020.
This contract is for 37 hours per week, for a fixed-term of 3 years with an extension subject to external funding. Any questions regarding the role can be directed to michellelagar@beamish.org.uk
