Remaking Beamish Site Supervisor

£27,006 - £27,843, depending on qualifications and experience

Details

The Remaking Beamish project, supported by the National Lottery Heritage Fund, includes a 1950s town, an 1820’s Georgian Coaching Inn, and a number of 1820s buildings. The scheme is now well underway and is entering a new and exciting phase.

For more information about the project, please have a look at our website: http://www.beamish.org.uk/future-plans/

Unusually, we are undertaking the design and build elements of this project in-house, so we are seeking to appoint an experienced Site Supervisor to oversee all building activities associated with the 1820’s Georgian Coaching Inn.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience of managing trades and contractors, hold current industry knowledge of build specification, have an eye for detail and have team working skills that ensure work programmes are delivered on time and to high levels of safety. Knowledge of working on heritage building and with reclaimed materials would also be preferable.

The contract is for 37 hours per week, fixed-term until December 2020. Any questions regarding the role should be directed to Paul Bennett, Remaking Beamish Project Manager, Paulbennett@beamish.org.uk
