Remaking Beamish Project Site Labourer – 37 hours per week (6 month contract)

Remaking Beamish is the biggest development in Beamish’s history. The exciting project includes over 25 new exhibits and attractions and is bringing a new era to the museum in the form of a 1950s Town and 1950s farm.

We are currently expanding our in-house construction team to help us meet the challenge of undertaking the design and build elements of this project in-house. We want to appoint an experienced and skilled site labourer to join our in house masonry and multi-skilled teams. The ideal candidate will come with extensive experience of working on large multi-site build projects where the sequence of works requires a broad range of trades to be supported with resources and manual handling at the same time.

Thanks to the money raised by National Lottery players, the project has been awarded a £10.9million grant by The National Lottery Heritage Fund – a major milestone in Beamish’s history and the largest single investment ever seen at the museum. Construction is expected to be completed by the end of 2023.

This contract is for 37 hours per week, for a period of 6 months. Any questions regarding the role can be directed to hr@beamish.org.uk
