We are currently looking to recruit two Community Participation Officers (Maternity Cover) to develop and deliver creative and dynamic community participation activities that engage community members and enable a diverse range of local people to participate meaningfully in decision making within the project.
- 1 x 37 hours (6 months maternity cover)
- 1 x 22.5 hours (9 months maternity cover)
Beamish Museum is part way into our exciting £20 million Remaking Beamish project. Supported by The National Lottery Heritage Fund, the project will transform the award-winning open-air museum, with a 1950s Town, and much more.

Beamish, the Living Museum of the North is a world renowned open air museum, which puts people and the communities we serve at the heart of everything we do. The museum tells the story of everyday working life in the North East – bringing the rich social, agricultural and industrial heritage of our region to life.
The museum is self-sustaining with a large diverse audience. We rely upon talented people who are able to demonstrate exceptional skills and personal characteristics to deliver the outstanding and immersive experience we offer to visitors.
