The museum was thrilled to have picked up the Best UK Attraction award at the Group Leisure & Travel (GLT) Awards 2025!
The annual awards are given to the best attractions, operators, destinations, suppliers and experiences for groups, according to readers of Group Leisure & Travel Magazine.
Beamish beat off competition from Buckingham Palace, Hampton Court Palace, lastminute.com London Eye, National Memorial Arboretum and Westminster Abbey to be named as the winner of the prestigious award at a ceremony held in London.
The museum wasn’t the region’s only winner at the GLT Awards as Durham was crowned Best UK Destination, and Kynren: An Epic Tale of England won Best Event for Groups.
