Remembrance Sunday 2024

Sun, 10th November

We will be holding special commemorations at the museum for Remembrance Sunday.

Remembrance Commemorations will take place in The 1900s Town park. At 10.58am, buglers from Off Key Music will perform The Last Post. At 11am a two-minute silence will be observed. The buglers will respond with Reveille followed by a laying of wreaths.

Off Key Music will play on the stage of the 1950s welfare hall at 12.30-2.30pm with an interval in the middle, and the Beamish Choir will sing in The 1900s Town bandstand at 1pm and 2pm.

There will also be a special poppy display throughout the weekend in the Masonic Hall in The 1900s Town.
