2021 marks the 150th birthday of Coffee Pot No. 1. To celebrate, the locomotive will be running on The Colliery Railway in The 1900s Pit Village on the second Friday of each month.
Coffee Pot No. 1 is fully operational and is one of the oldest working railway steam locomotives in the world! The engine has a fascinating history, which you can read about on the Beamish Transport Blog. You can also hear all it about in our YouTube Coffee Pot No. 1 Curator Feature, available here on YouTube.
You can see Coffee Pot No. 1 running on The Colliery Railway on the following dates:
- Friday, 11th June
- Friday, 9th July
- Friday, 13th July
- Friday, 10th September
- Friday, 8th October
Under Step 3 of the roadmap, we have reopened many of our indoor exhibits and attractions, and are running our 1950s buses. All visitors will need to pre-book an entry timeslot online in advance of their visit, including Friends of Beamish members and Beamish Unlimited Pass holders. Book your timeslot tickets here.
