Enjoy live rapper dancing, choir performances, a Coits competition and Vegetable show. Discover the importance of whippets and ferrets to coal mining communities, and learn all about pigeon racing equipment. Join a flower arranging activity, learn all about our communal bread oven, be inspired by the cottage gardens and take part in fun family activities.

CLASS 1: Two pot leeks, 6” to tight button and sound all round. (North East Horticultural Society members only).

Open to all visitors, please drop off your entries by 11am on Saturday, 5th July 2025.
CLASS 2: Nine cherry tomatoes.
CLASS 3: Six large fruited tomatoes.
CLASS 4: One cucumber.
CLASS 5: Two round beetroot.
CLASS 6: One cabbage round.
CLASS 7: Three onions up to 250gram.
CLASS 8: Two onions as grown, must be washed clean.
CLASS 9: Six french beans.
CLASS 10: Three potatoes any colour.
CLASS 11: One flowering plant, max pot size 7”.
CLASS 12: One foliage plant, max pot size 7”.
CLASS 13: Six sweet peas self colour.
CLASS 14: One hanging basket, plastic pot max pot size 12”.
CLASS 15: Five cut cosmos any colour.
CLASS 16: Five cut zinnia any colour.
CLASS 17: A vase of mixed flowers, max vase size 7”.
Children’s Classes:
CLASS 18: A miniature garden in a standard seed tray.
CLASS 19: One novelty vegetable.
All exhibits to be home grown.
