The Beamish Young Volunteers are a group aged 13-19, who are the young voice within the museum, working on projects for young people, by young people.
The group provides opportunities to gain new skills and experience, work towards qualifications, help plan and deliver activities and events and discuss upcoming projects including Remaking Beamish.
For more information please contact Helen Russell, Volunteer Co-ordinator for Young People, email: firstname.lastname@example.org.
Being involved with the Young Volunteers Group is something completely different, it’s not like a normal volunteering role. It’s very good for communication amongst different people, being able to interact with strangers, it’s helped with my confidence and I love history, and being in the group makes me even more interested in history.
