Remaking Beamish Project Officer (Community Participation)

Band 3, point 4 £17,829 (9 months Maternity Cover)

Beamish has broken ground with a £17.8 million project, supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund, to transform the open air Museum, adding a 1950s town, a Coaching Inn, and a number of 1820s buildings. For more information about the project, please have a look at our website: http://www.beamish.org.uk/future-plans/

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an individual to join the Remaking Beamish Project Team and engage our communities in being a key part of bringing these buildings to life.  The role would suit an enthusiastic, proactive individual with a ‘can do’ approach.

The successful post holder will develop and deliver creative and dynamic community participation activities that place our communities at the centre of the Remaking Beamish project. Through sustained engagement with a diverse range of local people, the project ensures that the stories of the local communities that shaped the history of the North East are told.

Completed application forms should be returned by 12 noon Tuesday 12th December 2017.

Successful candidates will be notified by Friday 15th December and interviews will be held on Wednesday 20th December
