Bookings Officer - †Scale 3/4 (£16,231 - £19,742) Full time 37 hours

We are looking for a postive, enthusiastic, and dynamic individual, to join our Group & Venue Sales Team. This is a busy role, with responsibility for managing our bookings system, and the right candidate will be able to work well under pressure, whilst maintaining strong attention to detail at all times; and be able to demonstate excellent verbal and written communication skills. You will be passionate about Beamish and take pride in meeting and exceeding our visitors' expectations.

Remaking Beamish Project Staff

Beamish is thriving and we have exciting plans for the future - using more of our outstanding collections to tell the story of everyday life in the North East region through time.


Thanks to major funding from the Heritage Lottery Fund we are about to start an exciting £17 million project featuring innovative developments such as a 1950s Town and Farm, museum exhibits offering overnight accommodation for visitors and a dedicated centre for people living with dementia.


We are looking for a talented individual to join our team of some 350 staff and 450 volunteers, working to ensure this exciting project is shaped by people from across communities in the North East.

Project Officer Skills and Training - Part Time (£19,817 - £23,945) Pro Rata

Assist with the planning and development of skills and apprenticeship schemes. A Secondment from an FE college may be considered. The new development position is funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund. Initially you will be employed to develop the project HLF Stage II submission. Subject to further funding, the position will then be extended to deliver the project until December 2020.
