Beamish is unique! It’s no ordinary Museum but a living and working experience of life as it was in North East England in Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian times. Be part of this multi-award winning tourist attraction.
The following seasonal posts will commence in April 2012:
- Social and Domestic Life Demonstrators - To engage with visitors to the Museum as part of the Domestic Life Team at the Pit Village and Town and other areas as allocated.
- Transport and Industry Demonstrators - To engage with visitors to the Museum as part of the Transport and Industry Team at the Waggonway, Colliery Yard, Station, Fairground, Tramway and other areas as allocated.
- Rural Life Demonstrators - To help the Rural Life Team engage with visitors to the Museum between Home Farm, Pockerley Old Hall and other areas as allocated
- Catering Assistants - To work in catering venues across the site assisting in preparation and serving of food and drink to museum visitors and all other associated duties.
- Entrance Team Members - To be part of a team responsible for delivering a professional, friendly and profitable customer service experience for Beamish visitors, working in the admissions and retail areas of the Museum.
- Gardeners - To ensure the maintenance and upkeep of period gardens across the Museum. To assist in enabling engagement to visitors through the correct interpretation of gardens within period areas.
- Attendants - To provide support to the Engagement, Operational and Resources Teams with regards to daily operations, events and activities across the Museum.
- Cleaners - To carry out cleaning and litter control with the aim of maintaining Beamish Museum to an exceptionally high standard for its visitors.
Pay Rates: £6.29 - £6.38 per hour
