Any teacher who has taken children on trips out of school knows that such visits can produce wonderful results. Sometimes previously withdrawn children will create startling work. These children will have suddenly 'clicked' to a new experience and these resources have been created to help achieve such results.
The resources below are PDF based and are compressed into a zipped folder (right click and extract after downloading). The files are large and should be downloaded using a broadband connection.

This resource is aimed to help you study a unique piece of local history with your class. It was made by Beamish Museum's Learning and Access Department in 2009 as part of a 'Their Past Your Future' project.
It is aimed to support KS2 and KS3 teachers who want to look at themes such as the First World War, Remembrance and what it's like to be a refugee through a very interesting piece of local history.

When you and your class visit Beamish Museum, why not complete our maths trail?
Based in the Pit Village and Colliery, children are asked to complete a range of activities relating to different areas of the mathematics curriculum. The trail is aimed at children in lower KS2 however activities may support older years or adapted to consolidate learning among KS1 children.
