A Beamish Christmas 2008

Tickets for this event are now sold out.

Building on the success of past years, A Beamish Christmas will be bigger and better this year with an extra date added to the event. You can experience all of the delights of an Edwardian Christmas at Beamish on 12th, 13th and 14th December.

Take a tram ride into the unique atmosphere of The 1913 Town where the shops and houses are gaily decked in their Christmas finery. Enjoy the entertainment, the Town Crier, carol singers, music hall and folk musicians. Sample the Christmas Fayre in the Dainty Dinah Tea Room and in the Carriage House – delicious homemade soup or mouth-watering turkey stotties. Enjoy a drink in front of a roaring coal fire in the Sun Inn, taste the treats from the Jubilee Sweetshop or be tempted by brandy snaps and roast chestnuts.  There are period market stalls with a range of beautiful handcrafted gifts, just right for those last minute Christmas presents. The magic of a visit to Father Christmas in his Edwardian grotto is a must for every child and there are Christmas crafts for youngsters to try too.

A Beamish Christmas takes place on Friday, 12th December from 3pm to 8pm and Saturday and Sunday, 13th and 14th December from 1pm to 6pm.  Admission is by pre-paid ticket only; adults £10.00, children (2 to 16 years) £7.00.

Tickets are available from Monday, 15th September 2008. To book with credit or debit cards, telephone the Beamish Christmas Ticketline, 0191 370 4063, 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.
