The popular County Durham History and Heritage Forum event will take place at Beamish this year. Over 40 local history groups will come together to display their fascinating projects at the biannual event.
From Jorvik Viking Centre and Northern Archaeology Group to Bowes Museum and Weardale Railway Trust – there’ll be lots to see and do. Plus Wanda, Beamish’s 1950s caravan, and a 1950s fire engine will be on view!
Entry to the local history fair will be free to all museum visitors, and provides a valuable opportunity for everyone interested in local history and heritage to share their knowledge and passion with local, regional and national organisations.
Below are images from the Wheatley Hill History Club archive, who are also attending the event.
