Twelfth Night Celebrations

27th Dec - 6th Jan (closed 1st Jan)

Looking for the perfect post Christmas outing? Well look no further! We invite you to join us in celebrating Twelfth Night and first footing at Pockerley Old Hall from the 27th December to 6th January (closed New Year’s Day).

Join us for Twelfth Night celebrations – enjoy music, dancing, food and first footing, the perfect outing to blow away the post-Christmas cobwebs.

Ceilidh Dancing
Join in with traditional ceilidh dancing at Pockerley Old Hall.

Beamish Bazaar
Find some charming and quirky gifts and local festive food at our outdoor bazaar in The Town park.

Pantomime in the Masonic Hall
Every day from 27th December – 7th January.
Watch a traditional Edwardian-style pantomime performed by Beamish staff and volunteers. It is the 150th anniversary of the Lambton Worm song, which was written for the pantomime at the Tyne Theatre in 1867. The pantomime (running time 30 minutes) will be performed at 11am, 12.30pm and 2pm.

Playhouse Tales
Inspired by the toy theatres popular in Victorian and Edwardian times, children will bring traditional tales to life, try on costumes, produce sound effects and narrate the tale, as they perform their own pantomime.

As with all daytime events, you can use your Unlimited Pass!

Please note, the museum is closed on New Year’s Day.
