Northern Counties Photographic Federation Exhibition

Sat 20th - Sun 21st May 2017

The Northern Counties Photographic Federation will hold their seventh annual weekend at Beamish with an amazing exhibition of photographs in our Collections Study Room, which is next to our Open Stores.

The image shown above is one of the many stunning entries from 2016, it is entitled “A trip to Town” by Jim Welsh of Blyth Photographic Society.

There will be a chance to admire the talented works of the photographers as well as an opportunity to purchase photographs from the federation. The NCPF was formed over a century ago in 1901 when a group of Photographic Societies located in Durham and Northumberland formed an organisation called “The Federation of Photographic Societies of Northumberland and Durham”. The federation’s exhibition will make for a brilliant weekend – don’t miss it!
