Flag Weekend 2020

Sat 9th - Sun 10th May

Flag Days were held by organisations during the First World War to raise money for causes including soldiers on the front line, prisoners of war and support for disabled servicemen. Whilst we will not be raising money for charity, we will be recognising the important contribution young people made towards fundraising during the First World War.

Around the museum there will be activities for all the family to get involved with, as we commemorate young people’s admirable work during the war, as well as the great work young people do nowadays.

Are you part of a young people’s uniformed organisation? Fancy being part of Flag Weekend 2020? If so, take a look at our Information for Groups and download the Entry Form. Please return the completed entry form to jonathanblackburn@beamish.org.uk or post to Jonathan Blackburn, Beamish Museum, Beamish, County Durham, DH9 0RG.
