Every year Father Christmas arrives in style for his stay at Beamish, he’s travelled to us by RAF Sea King helicopter, by motorbike, on a fire engine, as part of a nativity parade with real camels and even been escorted by unicorns!
A fantastic procession of Beamish vehicles, huskies, marching bands and Mrs Claus in her sleigh will make its way through The 1900s Town street to the Fairground, for the countdown to the Christmas tree lights switch-on. Plus there is bound to be a few surprises organised by Father Christmas on the day.
The parade marks the opening of Christmas at Beamish, which runs from 17th November to 24th December, 10am to 4pm.
Experience the magic of Christmas past, with the wondrous sights, sounds and delicious tastes of truly traditional festive celebrations.
