Calling all Teachers!
Here at Beamish, we have some exciting stuff in mind. We are hoping to create new exhibits, gather new collections and possibly add whole new time periods!
We are also aware that we need to be able to maintain the standards of learning offered onsite and be able to adapt to the needs of pupils and learning professionals.
We want to talk to you, listen to you and get our offering of both new and established sessions right. Therefore, we are launching a two month consultation period from February to March 2012 whereby our Learning and Access Team will be communicating with learning professionals in the region in a number of different ways.
On your invitation we would be happy to talk at cluster meetings and staff meetings. We will offer free mid week staff training sessions coupled with a consultation session. We are also offering a free trip to Beamish at the weekend for any learning professionals working in schools.
Your free ticket will allow you to visit with four companions of any age and all we ask is an hour of your time out of the day – tea, coffee and cake provided!
Below are some of the events we have in mind. They are all free of charge but may be subject to change if we don’t get enough take up – so please do book a place and help make Beamish a better learning resource for your school.
